West Oxfordshire Distict Council Councillor for the Labour Party in Chipping Norton

Laetisia's pledges

  • Fight the cuts to the NHS services in West Oxfordshire

Reverse and challenge damaging NHS cuts. Closure of Deer Park surgery, important services at the Horton Hospital and threat to Chipping Norton Maternity hospital.

  • Ensure proper funding to our schools

Our children's education is vital to their future and to ours as a community. I will lobby hard against short sighted cuts to teacher numbers and to our schools.

  • Guarantee adequate funding for Thames Valley Police

We need to increase police officer numbers to ensure coverage across the whole constituency. Crime is changing its increasingly complex. We must have a properly funded force.

  • Proper investment in our road and transport network

The state of our roads is a disgrace. We need to invest in order to cut down commuter time and aid business. Furthermore, we must reduce emissions which in some areas in the constituency make the air quality dangerous.

  • Protect vulnerable people and services to support them

Cuts have hit us hard here; the ending of bus services, reduction in funding for elderly day centres have increased rural isolation. Children's centres closed, key homelessness services lost, domestic violence services cut. I will fight to get them back!
